New levels in DELE examinations

Starting in 2009 three new levels are going to be gradually incorporated.

Until recently DELE examinations had three levels:

  • Diploma de Español (Nivel Inicial): level B1-B2*
  • Diploma de Español (Nivel Intermedio): level B2*
  • Diploma de Español (Nivel Superior): level C2*
    *According to Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

Starting in 2009 three new levels are going to be gradually incorporated.

  • Level A1 will be included in May 2009.
  • Level A2 will be included in May 2010.
  • Level C1 will be included in 2010.

This means that DELE examinations will meet the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) of six levels.

  • Diploma de español level A1.
  • Diploma de español level A2.
  • Diploma de español level B1.
  • Diploma de español level B2.
  • Diploma de español level C1.
  • Diploma de español level C2.
